I have 27 years of teaching experience in all grades K-8. Before coming to SJRCS, I
was the Technology Teacher/Media Coordinator at St. John School in Westminster for 15 years. For many years I have also taught adult technology classes for the State of Maryland. Prior to that, I was the 6th grade classroom teacher at the Center for the Highly Gifted in Montgomery County for all content areas. I have written Math curriculum for MCPS and enjoyed several STEM projects with my classes, including working with Dr. Robert Ballard on the Project Jason exploration of the Titanic. As a Young Astronaut chapter leader, I also had the honor of being invited with 10 of my students to the White House as a guest of the U.S. President for an astronaut-cosmonaut exchange. I am a member of the SJRCS STEM Cohort. I also believe it is vital to teach my students how to think for themselves and take responsibility for their own learning.

I have been a member of St. Peter's Church for over 20 years and employed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore for 17 years. To me, a true gift is spending time with my husband of almost 30 years and daughter, a graduate student working on her Masters in Electrical Engineering. We like to travel and enjoy time on the beach. As a lifelong learner, I enjoy keeping up with the latest technological gadgets, reading about anything, and planning creative Science lessons.
I count my service at St. John Regional, especially working with its excellent faculty , a blessing. I am proud to be part of an innovative and hardworking team and a school that provides a wonderful education of the whole child.
