Bio

Born in Germany, raised in a bilingual, multi-generational Italian household, and married to a man whose grandparents were Deaf and fluent in American Sign Language; I have had an exposure to and a love of language my whole life.  It is not surprising to me that I spend my days teaching English/Language Arts in the morning to the first and second graders and American Sign Language, Greek and Latin Etymology, and Italian to middle schoolers in the afternoons.  I am a self-professed bibliophile. One peek into my ELA classroom and you will know it is true!

I began teaching in 1997, and have had diverse teaching experiences.  In addition to teaching and playing the role of mom to my 7th grader and 4th grader, I am in a master's program for Educational Leadership.  If all goes well, my degree will be conferred this November!

I look forward to a new academic year with some fresh and some familiar faces. Please let me be a resource as we facilitate your student's learning experiences, both at school and at home.
